MEANING
गोकुलचंद पालनें झुलत ।हौलें हौलें ब्रजरानी झुलावति किलकि किलकि देख मन फूलत ॥१॥Gokulchand swings in the cradle. The Queen of Vraj gently, gently rocks Him; seeing Him laugh with delight again and again, her heart blossoms with joy. ॥1॥कीरतिलली बुलाई हरखसों लालन ढिंग पौढ़ाई ।हों यह मुसकनि कर पद जुगपै लखि कापै बरनि न जाई ॥२॥Kirti’s daughter is called, and with great joy she is laid beside the little darling. Ah! Seeing this smile and the two pairs of hands and feet, who could possibly describe it? ॥2॥माखन मिश्री राखि निकाई जलबीरा पकवान ।अँगरा अनुराग दुंहनिको कुसुम माल धरि आन ॥३॥Butter and mishri are beautifully arranged, along with jalbira and delicacies. With loving affection for both, garments and flower garlands are brought and placed before them. ॥3॥जो आवत सो अंबर लावत ऊपर धरि कछु रोक ।बंगी झुनझुना फिरकि खिलावत फिरि दुहुँ बदन बिलोक ॥४॥Whoever comes brings garments and places something upon them as an offering. They amuse them with little toys, rattles and whirling playthings, then gaze again upon both their faces. ॥4॥गावत मंगलचार सोहिलौ बाजे बाजन ढार ।नंद महोत्सवके सुख ऊपर द्वारकेश बलिहार ॥५॥Auspicious songs of celebration are sung, and many instruments resound. Dwarkesh offers himself in devotion to the joy of Nanda’s great festival. ॥5॥
