MEANING
गोपाल माई खेलत हें चोगान ॥व्रज कुमार बालक संग लीने वृन्दावन मैदान ॥१॥“Mai, Gopal is playing chaugan!” Taking the young boys of Vraj with Him, He plays in the open grounds of Vrindavan. ॥१॥चंचल बाजि नचावत आवत होड लगावत आन ॥सबही हस्त ले गेंद चलावत करत बावा की आन ॥२॥He comes skillfully guiding His spirited horse, racing in friendly competition with the others. Each one strikes the ball with his hand, proudly upholding the honour of Baba. ॥२॥करत न शंक निशंक महाबल हरत नृपति कुलमान ॥Fearless and immensely strong, He plays without hesitation, surpassing the pride of royal princes.परमानंद दासको ठाकुर गुन आनंद निधान ॥३॥Paramananddas says: his Thakur is a treasure-house of virtues and joy. ॥३॥
