MEANING
जागि कह्यौ जनुनी सौं मोहन ॥Having awakened, Mohan said to His mother,आजु कहा मोहे बेनि जगायों सों कारज सब कहिए सोहन ॥“Why have You woken me today? Please tell me all about the reason, Mother.” ॥तब जसुमति कह्यों आजु पूरन दिन पून्यों सुख की रासी ॥Then Yashumatī said, “Today is a full and blessed day, a treasure of happiness.डांडो रोपन नंद जाइँगे सँग लीए ब्रज वासी ॥२॥Nanda will go to plant the Holī pole, taking the people of Vraj with him.” ॥२॥ऊत वृषभानु इतेई तैं नंदराई होड परेगी भारी ॥“Vṛṣabhān will be there, and Nandarāy here; there will be a great contest between them.इत प्यारो उत प्यारी कों दल को जीते को हारी ॥३॥On this side is the beloved boy, and on that side the beloved girl; let us see whose group wins and whose loses.” ॥३॥ताते बिच मोहन बलदाऊ सौं कही लीजे ॥Therefore, Mohan said to Baladāū, “Take Baladāū with You,और गोप लेऊ रखवारी गोपी सब बस कीजे ॥४॥and take the other cowherd boys too to keep watch; keep all the gopīs under Your care.” ॥४॥यह सुनि रबकि उठै गिरिवरधर तव मैया पय पान पिवावै ॥Hearing this, Girivardhar quickly gets up; then Mother gives Him milk to drink.देखो आज खेलि होरी कों माखन मोहि खवावै ॥५॥“Look, today, for playing Holī, she will feed me butter.” ॥५॥तब जसुमती गुपाल लाल कों ऊवट नहवायो प्रीत ॥Then Yashumatī lovingly bathes Gopāl Lāl with ubtan.करि सिंगार परम रुचिकारी ब्रजवासीन के मीत ॥६॥She adorns Him very beautifully, for He is the dear one of the people of Vraj. ॥६॥यह सब बात जानि ब्रज वनिता चली सींगारि सिंगारी ॥Knowing all these things, the women of Vraj come, beautifully dressed and adorned.मन हरखित सोभित सुंदरि कोटी काम बलिहारी ॥७॥Their hearts are filled with joy, and the beautiful women shine; countless Kāmas would be sacrificed before their beauty. ॥७॥सब मिलि इक ठौर व्है आई जसुमति ग्रह कें द्वार ॥They all gather together in one place and come to the doorway of Yashumatī’s house.भीतर जाई लाल मुख निरखति हरखें लोचन चार ॥८॥Going inside, they behold Lāl’s face, and their eyes rejoice with delight. ॥८॥सेन समै सब भेद कह्यौ तब मुसिकाई मोहन मन हर लियो ॥At that time, all the secret matters are told; Mohan then smiles and wins their hearts.'रसिक' प्रीतम जानति अंतर गति मन भायों सब कियों ॥९॥‘Rasik’ says: the Beloved knows what is within their hearts, and He does everything that pleases them. ॥९॥
