जाहि तन मन धन दीजे आली तासों रूसनो कैसे बनि आवे ॥ घोष नृपति सुत एते पर बहु नायक ताते कहतहों समुझ चितें अनखन कैसे पिय पावे ॥१॥
Sakhi, how can it be fitting to remain displeased with the one to whom you have offered your body, mind, and wealth? He is the cowherd king’s son and, moreover, the beloved of many. That is why I ask you to consider carefully: how will resentment bring you to your Piya?
नवलनिकुंज नवलबैठे ताते हों पठई ऐसो समयो तोहिसी बडभागिन पावे ॥ सोईतो विचित्रगुण रूप त्रियाजो गोविंदप्रभुको रिझावे ॥२॥
The youthful one sits in the fresh bower; he has sent me for that reason. Only someone as fortunate as you receives such an opportunity. Truly, that maiden’s virtues and beauty are exceptional who delights Govind’s Lord. ॥२॥
