लालन बैठे कुंजस्थली कुसुमित वनपरिमल आमोद तहां कूजत कोकिला रहे रसमत्त अली ॥१॥
Lalan sits in the bower. The flowering woodland spreads its delightful fragrance; cuckoos sing there, and bees are absorbed in the sweetness of nectar. ॥१॥
कुवलयदल कोमल शय्या रची मृदुल सुहस्त वेणीग्रथित चंपकली ॥ गोविंदप्रभु दंपति जु परस्पर रहे रसमत्त रली ॥२॥
A soft resting place has been prepared with blue-lotus petals. Gentle hands have woven champak buds into her braid. Govind’s Lord and his beloved delight in each other’s company, absorbed in the sweetness of love. ॥२॥
