जसुमति मन अभिलाख Jasumati Man Abhilakh
MEANING
जसुमति मन अभिलाख करै ।कब मेरौ लाल घुटरुवन रेंगे कब धरनी पग द्वैक धरै ॥१॥Jasumati cherishes this longing in her heart: “When will my Lala crawl on His knees? When will He place His two little feet upon the ground?” ॥१॥कब द्वै दाँत दूधके देखों कब तुरते मुख बेन झरै ।कब नंद हि बाबा कहि बोलहि कब जननी कहि मोही ररै ॥२॥“When will I see His two little milk teeth? When will words begin to flow from His tiny mouth? When will He call Nanda ‘Baba,’ and when will He cry out to me, calling me ‘Mother’?” ॥२॥कब मेरो अँचरा गहि मोहन जोइ सोड़ मोसों कही झगरै।कबहुँ तनक तनक कर खैहै अपने करलै मुखहिं भरै ॥३॥“When will Mohan grasp my anchal and, refusing to let go, quarrel with me over whatever He wants? When will He eat little morsels by Himself, taking them in His own hands and filling His mouth?” ॥३॥कब हँसि बात कहेंगे मोसों वा छबि देख दुख दूरि हरै ।श्याम अकेले आँगन छाँड़े आपु गई कछु काज घरै ॥४॥“When will He smile and speak with me? At the sight of that lovely form, all my sorrow will disappear.” Leaving Shyam alone in the courtyard, she herself went inside the house for some task. ॥४॥या अंतर अँधवाई उठी एक गरजत गगनि सहित घहरै ।सूरदास ब्रज लोग सुनत धुनि जो जहाँ तहाँ सब अतिहिं डरै ॥५॥Meanwhile, a great whirlwind arose, roaring and thundering through the sky. Surdas says: hearing that terrible sound, the people of Vraj, wherever they were, were greatly afraid. ॥५॥
