MEANING
जयति वामनाकार विस्तार सकुमार तन त्रिविक्रमा क्रांति त्रिभुवन उदारी ॥प्रसर पदन स्वर निरभेद ब्रह्मांड वर विवर गति जनित सुर सुरि त्रिधारी ॥१॥Victory to Vaman, whose form expanded—His tender body becoming Trivikrama, whose mighty stride encompassed the three worlds. As His foot extended and pierced the upper covering of the Brahmanda, the celestial river arose from that opening and flowed in three streams. ॥१॥जयति अभ्र वपु स्याम अति सोभे उपवीत वर चिर कृष्णा अजिन जटा धरि दंड धारी ॥मेखला भुज कोपीन कर कुस पानी जप माल सर्व व्रत ब्रह्मचारी ॥२॥Victory to Him whose cloud-dark body shines exceedingly beautiful, wearing the sacred thread and fine garments, a black deerskin, matted locks, and carrying a staff. He wears a girdle and kaupina; in His hands are kusha grass, a water vessel, and a japa-mala—the perfect Brahmachari, observing every vow. ॥२॥जयति सक्र सुर राज दायक दया सिंधु बलि द्वार पालक गदाधर मुरारी ॥दास 'माधो' सोई भक्त हित वपु धरे श्री जगन्नाथ नील गिरि बिहारी ॥३॥Victory to the Ocean of Compassion, who restored Indra as king of the devas, who became the guardian of Bali’s gate—Gadadhar, Murari. Servant Madho says: that very Lord assumes forms for the sake of His devotees—Shri Jagannath, who dwells upon Nilagiri. ॥३॥
