वामन आये बलिपैं Vaman Aaye Balipain

वामन आये बलिपैं माँगन ॥अति अनूप रूप कहा कहिये ठाढ़े पौरके आँगन ॥१॥Vaman has come to ask Bali for a gift. How can His exceedingly incomparable beauty be described, as He stands in the courtyard at the gateway? ॥१॥पढ़त वेद धुनि कहत सुकंठन गावत मधुरे रागन ॥सुनत राग मन लागत नीकौ बालक गनियत जागन ॥२॥With His sweet voice He recites the Vedas and sings in melodious ragas. Hearing His singing, the heart is delighted; though He appears to be a mere child, He seems remarkably wise. ॥२॥सुन बलि राजा मगन भये अति कहाँते आये भागन ॥विद्या अधिक अगाध अंबुनिधि कोऊ पावत थागन ॥३॥Hearing Him, King Bali became utterly delighted and asked, “From where has such good fortune come to me?” His learning is vast and unfathomable like the ocean—who could ever reach its depth? ॥३॥लीये बोल होत यज्ञ जहाँ लिये कमंडल हाथन ॥परमानंद चक्रत बलि राजा कोउ नहीं संग साथन ॥४॥Bali called Him to where the yajna was being performed; Vaman came holding a kamandalu in His hand. Paramanand says: King Bali was astonished to see that no one accompanied Him. ॥४॥
