MEANING
प्रगटे श्रीवामन अवतार ॥निरख अदिति मुख करत प्रशंसा जगजीवन आधार ॥१॥Shri Vaman Avatar has appeared. Beholding Him, Aditi gazes upon His face and praises Him—the very support of the life of the world. ॥१॥तन घनश्याम पीतपट राजत शोभित हैं भुज चार ॥कुंडल मुकुट कंठ कौस्तुभमणि उर भृगुरेखा सार ॥३॥His body is dark as a raincloud, a yellow garment shines upon Him, and His four arms appear resplendent. Earrings and a crown adorn Him, the Kaustubha gem shines at His neck, and the mark of Bhrigu graces His chest. ॥३॥देखि बदन आनंदित सुरमुनि जयजय करें निगम उच्चार ॥गोविंदप्रभु बलि वामन व्हैकैं ठाढ़े बलि के द्वार ॥३॥Beholding His face, the devas and sages rejoice, crying “Jaya! Jaya!” and reciting the Vedas. Govind says: the Lord, assuming the form of Vaman for Bali, stands at Bali’s door. ॥३॥
