MEANING
झूलत मदनमोहन पियराजत संग राधिका लीने ॥ सुभग शिखर गिरिगोवर्धनकी वरन वरन द्रुम फूल नवीने ॥१॥Madanmohan swings, with Rādhikā beside Him. The lovely peaks of Girirāj Govardhan are adorned with trees and freshly blossomed flowers of many kinds. ॥१॥तेसोई घन घोरत चहुंदिश चमकत चपला अति छबिलीने ॥ मंदमंद कुसुमावली बरखत इन्द्र धनुष बग पंगत कीने ॥२॥Such clouds thunder on all sides, and beautiful lightning flashes brightly. Flower clusters shower gently, while the rainbow appears and rows of white herons are formed. ॥२॥बोलत दादुर चात्रक मोर पिक कोकिल गावत ले सुरझीने ॥ तेसीये गावत व्रजयुवतीं मिलि लाल बजावत वेणु प्रवीने ॥३॥The frogs, chātaka birds, peacocks, and cuckoos call, singing in harmonious notes. In the same way, the young women of Vraj gather and sing, while the Beloved skillfully plays the flute. ॥३॥झूलवत सब प्रीतम मुख निरखत वरन वरन अम्बर तन झीने ॥ रसिकदास प्रभु दंपति रस भरे अधर सुधा प्यावत अरुपीने ॥४॥They all swing the Beloved, gazing upon His face, while garments of many colors, delicate upon the body, are seen. Rasikdās says: the divine couple, filled with rasa, cherish the sweetness of Their loving exchange. ॥४॥
