MEANING
झूलत व्रजराज कुंवर संजूत वृषभानु सुता कुंज सदन में हिंडोरनां बिराज हीं ॥ अंग अंग सोहत सिंगार पीतांबर नीलांबर गौर स्याम जोरी बनी परम छाज हीं ॥१॥The Prince of Vraj, together with the daughter of Vrishabhanu, swings in the swing within the grove. Every limb of the fair-and-dark pair is beautifully adorned; the yellow garment and the blue garment enhance their beauty, and the pair looks exceedingly splendid. ॥१॥बैठे भुज ग्रीवा धरे भाव तें बिनोद करें रति पति अभिमान हरे सनमुख दृग छाज हीं ॥ सहचरी ललिता बिसाखा चंद्रभगा मिलि गावति ताल मृदंग झांझ मुरली मधुर बाज हीं ॥२॥Seated together, they hold each other around the neck and, with loving feeling, delight in their joyful pastime; their beauty takes away the pride of Rati's husband, and their eyes, facing one another, look exceedingly beautiful. The companions Lalita, Vishakha, and Chandrabhaga sing together; the rhythm of the mridanga and jhanjh, and the sweet sound of the flute, play beautifully. ॥२॥गरजत घन मंद मदं चात्रक पिक मोर रटत पिय प्यारी बिहरत व्रज त्रीय समाज हीं ॥ 'कृष्णदास' प्रभु गिरिधर निरखि लोचन सिरात यह छबि देखत मन सत काम लाज हीं ॥३॥The clouds gently thunder; the chatak birds, cuckoos, and peacocks call out. The beloved pair wanders joyfully amidst the women of Vraj. Krishna Das says, “Beholding Lord Giridhar, the eyes are fully satisfied; seeing this beautiful sight, even a hundred Kamadevas would feel ashamed.” ॥३॥
