MEANING
नंद के लाल गोवर्धन धार्यो ।इन्द्र कोप कियो हम ऊपर पठए सीसाई मेघ सब हंकार्यो ॥१॥Nanda’s Lala held up Govardhan. Indra became angry with us and sent forth all the mighty clouds, driving them upon Vraj. ॥१॥सात घोस मूसलधारा बरस्यो एक छिन बीच न पार्यो ।गोपी गोप गाय गोसुत सब आपु राखी गर्व टार्यो ॥२॥For seven days and nights, torrents of rain poured down without stopping even for a moment. He Himself protected all the Gopis, Gopas, cows, and calves, and brought Indra’s pride to an end. ॥२॥छोडी सब अभिमान अमरपति अपनो बिगार जियमें बिचार्यो ।'कुंभनदास' प्रभु शैलधरनके पाइन आई निहार्यो ॥३॥Giving up all his pride, Amarapati realized within his heart the wrong he had done. Kumbhandas says: he came before Prabhu Shailadharan and bowed at His feet. ॥३॥
