नीकसि ठाडी भईरी चढ नवल धवल महेल रंगीली आलीयन मांझ ॥ तेसेई उनये घन तेसीये बूंदन तेसीये कसुंभी सारी तेसीये फुलीहे सांझ ॥१॥She came out and stood upon the bright, newly adorned palace, graceful among her companions. The clouds gathered just so, the raindrops fell just so, her saffron-colored sari shone just so, and the evening too blossomed in the same beauty. ॥१॥कोऊ प्रवीन सो बीन बजावत कोऊ स्वर झीने झनकावत झांझ ॥ नंददास लटकत पिय प्यारी छबी रची विरंची मानों निपुणता भई वांझ ॥२॥One accomplished companion plays the vina, while another gently sounds the cymbals in delicate rhythm. Nanddas says: the graceful beauty of Piya and Pyari is such that it seems even Brahma’s skill in creation has been surpassed. ॥२॥
