MEANING
पूजति छठी कान्ह कुँवरकी थापे पीत लगाई ।कंचनथार लिये ब्रज बनिता रोचन देत सुहाई ॥१॥They worship the Chhathi of young Prince Kanh, making yellow handprints. The women of Vraj, holding golden trays, look beautiful as they apply the auspicious tilak. ॥1॥पनवारौ भरि खीर खाँड घृत पापर बरा बनाये ।मेवा दाख बदाम छुहारे मन मोहन मन भाये ॥२॥They filled the serving dishes with kheer, sugar and ghee, and prepared papad and bara. Dry fruits, raisins, almonds and dried dates delight Manmohan’s heart. ॥2॥आँजति आँखिजु सबही सुवासिन माँगत नैन भराये ।सूरदासप्रभु तुम चिरजीयौ घरघर मंगल गाये ॥३॥All the married women apply kajal to His eyes and gaze upon Him to their hearts’ content. “O Lord of Surdas, may You live long!”—auspicious songs are sung in every home. ॥3॥
