ब्रजपुर घरघर अति आनंद । प्रगटे हैं जसुमतिके ढोटा दूर गये दूख द्वन्द्व ॥१॥
In every home of Vraj there is great joy. Yashoda’s little son has appeared, and all sorrow and distress have gone far away. ॥१॥
साज छठीको लाई बनिता गावत गीत सुछन्द । नंदराय तब छठी पूजिके दिये दान सुखकंद ॥२॥
The women brought the preparations for the Chhathi, singing beautiful songs. Nandarai then worshipped the Chhathi and gave gifts in charity, filled with joy. ॥२॥
भीतर जाय महरिपे देखे सुंदर मुख अरविंद । करत आरती अवलोकत मुख ढारकेस मन फंद ॥३॥
Going inside, he saw the beautiful lotus-like face in the queen’s lap. As he performed arati and gazed upon that face, Dharkes’s heart became completely captivated. ॥३॥

saaj chhatheeko laaee banitaa gaavat geet suchhand · Nandraay tab chhathee poojike diye daan sukhakand ॥2॥
bheetar jaay maharipe dekhe sundar mukh aravind · karat aaratee avalokat mukh dhaarakes man phand ॥3॥
