MEANING
श्यामाजु दुलहनि दूल्हे रसिकवर रमकि रमकि दोउ झूलत रसभर ॥Shyamaju is the bride, and the rasika bridegroom is her beloved; both swing joyfully, filled with rasa. ॥गोपी सब चहूं ओर झोटा देत हँसि हँसि शोभा देख सुरमुनि थकित चहल पर ॥१॥All the gopis on every side, laughing joyfully, give pushes to the swing; beholding this beautiful scene, the gods and sages are left amazed. ॥१॥वृषभान नंदिनीकों झूदत व्याप्योहे डर तिहिं छिनु उरलाय लजाय नेना ढर ॥As Vrishabhanu’s daughter swings, she is overcome with fear; at that moment she draws close to Him in shyness, lowering her eyes. ॥देखकें गई मटक सेहेरो गयो लटक उर झपटे मोती छूटी कलीसी जोलर ॥२॥In that sudden movement, her graceful bearing is disturbed; the sehra hangs down, and the pearl ornament comes loose. ॥२॥ललिता नीरवारवेकों गहिकर राख्यो झोटा तरल भये वार भूखन झर ॥Lalita holds her steady so that she may perform nivār; with the swift motion of the swing, the ornaments begin to fall. ॥तन मन धन वारों पल न विसारों लाल एसी शोभा देख सूरदासके दृगन अर ॥३॥I offer body, mind, and wealth; O Lal, may I not forget You even for a moment. Beholding such beauty, Surdas’s eyes remain absorbed in it. ॥३॥
