MEANING
सुमरो नटनागर वर सुंदर गोपाललाल ॥ सबदुख मिटजैहें बे चिंतित लोचन विशाल ॥१॥ Remember the supremely beautiful Gopal Lal, the graceful Lord of divine play. All sorrows will disappear; His large eyes are free from all care. ॥१॥अलकन की झलकन लख पलकन गति भूलजात भुवविलास मंदहास रदनबदन अति रसाल ॥ निंदित रवि कुंडल छबि गंडमुकुर झलमलात पिच्छ गुच्छ कृत अवतंस इंदु मिल बिंदु भाल ॥२॥ Seeing the beauty of His curling locks, the eyes forget even to blink. The play of His brows, His gentle smile, His teeth, and His face are filled with sweetness. The brilliance of His earrings puts the sun to shame, His mirror-like cheeks shine brightly, a cluster of peacock feathers forms His head-ornament, and a beautiful mark shines upon His moon-like forehead. ॥२॥अंग अंगजित अनंग माधुरी तरंगरंग विमद मद गयंद होत देखत लटकीली चाल ॥ हसनलसन पीतवसन चारु हार वर शृंगार तुलसी रचित कुसुम खचित पीन उर नवीनमाल ॥३॥ The sweetness of every limb surpasses Manmatha; seeing His graceful, swaying gait, even the pride of a mighty elephant is humbled. His radiant smile, yellow garment, beautiful necklaces and fine adornments shine upon Him; a fresh garland of tulsi and flowers rests upon His broad chest. ॥३॥ब्रजनरेश वंश दीप श्रीवृंदावनवरमहीप श्रीवृषभानमानपात्र सहज दीनजन दयाल ॥ रसिक भूप रूपरासगुणनिधानजान राय गदाधर प्रभु युवती जनमुनि मनमानस मराल ॥४॥ He is the lamp of the lineage of the Lord of Vraj, the supreme Lord of Shri Vrindavan, honoured by Shri Vrishabhanu, and naturally compassionate toward the humble. Prabhu is the sovereign among rasikas, the very abundance of beauty and the treasure-house of virtues; Gadadhar says: He is the swan dwelling in the mind-lakes of the young women of Vraj and of the sages. ॥४॥
