Meaning
यशोदा माई यह न बूझिये काम । कमलनैन की भुजा दूखि हैं बाँधे ऊखल दाम ॥१॥
Mother Yashoda, this act is not understood; lotus-eyed Hari's arms are hurting, tied to the mortar by the rope ॥१॥
पुत्रहू ते प्रीतम नहीं कोऊ कुल दीपक मनि धाम ॥
There is no one dearer than a son, the lamp of the family, the abode of jewels.
देखियत कमल बदन कुम्हलानौ तू निर्मोही बाम ॥२॥
His lotus face is seen withering, yet you, contrary one, are without attachment ॥२॥
हरि पर वारि डारि सब तन मन गोरस अरु सब दाम । तू अपने मंदिरमें बैठी हरि आँगनमें घाम ॥३॥
Offer upon Hari all body, mind, milk-products, and all wealth; you sit in your house while Hari is in the courtyard under the sun ॥३॥
येही है सब ब्रजकी जीवनि सुख पावत लिये नाम । सूरदास प्रभु भक्तन के वश हैं जगके विश्राम ॥४॥
He alone is the life of all Vraj; by taking His name, all receive happiness. Surdas says: the Lord, the repose of the whole world, is under the loving sway of His devotees. ॥४॥

Yashodaa maaee yah na boojhiye kaam · kamalanain kee bhujaa dookhi hain baandhe ookhal daam ॥1॥
putrahoo te preetam naheen kooo kul deepak mani dhaam · dekhiyat kamal badan kumhalaanau too nirmohee baam ॥2॥
hari par vaari daari sab tan man goras aru sab daam · too apne mandiramen baithee hari aanganamen ghaam ॥3॥
yehee hai sab Braj-kee jeevani sukh paavat liye naam · Soordaas prabhu bhaktan ke vash hain jagake vishraam ॥4॥
