आज गोपाल पाहुने आये निरखे नयन अघायरी ॥ सुंदरवदन कमलकी शोभा मोमन रह्योहे लुभायरी ॥१॥Today Gopal has come as a guest; beholding Him, my eyes are filled with contentment. The beauty of His lovely lotus-face keeps enchanting my heart. ॥१॥के निरखूं के टहलकरूं एको नहिं बनत उपायरी ॥ जैसे लता पवन वश द्रुमसूं छूटत फिर लपटायरी ॥२॥Should I behold Him, or should I attend upon Him? I cannot manage even one of these. I am like a creeper under the wind’s sway, parting from the tree and then clinging to it again. ॥२॥मधुमेवा पकवान मिठाई व्यंजन बहुत बनायरी ॥ रागरंग में चतुर सूरप्रभु केसे सुख उपजायरी ॥३॥I have prepared honey, dry fruits, delicacies, sweets, and many dishes. Skilled in raga and festivity, how shall I bring delight to Sur’s Lord? ॥३॥
