MEANING
आज सखी सारदा कन्या जाई ।भादों सुदि षष्टि है शुभदिन शुभनक्षत्र वर आई ॥१॥Today, sakhi, Sarada has given birth to a daughter. It is the sixth day of the bright fortnight of Bhadon; an auspicious day has arrived under a blessed nakshatra. ॥१॥भेरि मृदंग दुंदुभी बाजत नंदकुँवर सुखदाई ।गोपीजन प्रफुलित भई गावत मंगल गीत बधाई ॥२॥Bheris, mridangas, and dundubhis resound, while Nandakunvar brings joy. The Gopis are filled with delight, singing auspicious songs of celebration. ॥२॥नामकरनकों गर्ग पराशर गौतम वेद पढ़ाई ।दीने दान पिता विशोकजू नारद बीन बजाई ॥३॥For the naming ceremony, Garga, Parashara, and Gautama recite the Vedas. Her father Vishok gives gifts, while Narada plays the vina. ॥३॥आभूषण पाटंबर बहु विध गो भू दान कराई ।नंदराय वृषभानराय मिलि विशोकहिं देत बधाई ॥४॥Ornaments and fine silken garments of many kinds are given, along with gifts of cows and land. Nandarai and Vrishabhanrai together offer their congratulations to Vishok. ॥४॥सकल सुवासिनि धरत साथिये कीरति पंजीरी द्याई ।व्रजपतिकी स्वामिनी यह प्रगटी ललिता नाम धराई ॥५॥All the married women make auspicious sathiya designs, and Kirti distributes panjiri. She who is the beloved swamini of Vrajpati has appeared and is given the name Lalita. ॥५॥
