Meaning
बडोदेवता कान्ह पुजायो ॥ ग्वाल गोप हंस अंक मिलायो ॥१॥
Kanha had the great deity worshipped. The cowherd boys and gopas joyfully laughed and embraced one another. ॥1॥
कान्ह धन्य धन यशोमति जायो ॥ धन्यधन्य देव प्रकट दरसायो ॥२॥
Blessed, truly blessed is Yashoda, who gave birth to Kanhaiya. Blessed, blessed is the Divine Dev who revealed Himself. ॥2॥
पूजामेट इंद्र गिरि पूजो ॥ परसन हमहि सदां प्रभुहूजो ॥३॥
He put an end to the worship of Indra and had Govardhan Hill worshipped. May Prabhu always remain pleased with us. ॥3॥
कहा इंद्र बपरो किहिं लायक ॥ गिरिदेवता सबनके नायक ॥४॥
What is poor Indra worth, and what is he fit for? The Devta of the Mountain is the protector and leader of all. ॥4॥
सूरदास प्रभुके गुण ऐसे ॥ भक्तन वश दुष्टन के नेंसे ॥५॥
Surdas says: such are the qualities of the Prabhu. He is under the loving control of His devotees and destroys the wicked. ॥5॥

kaanh dhany dhan yashomati jaayo · dhanyadhany dev prakat darasaayo ॥2॥
poojaamet indr giri poojo · parasan hamahi sadaan prabhuhoojo ॥3॥
kahaa indr baparo kihin laayak · giridevataa saban-ke naayak ॥4॥
