MEANING
बोल लिये सब ग्वाल कन्हाई ॥टेको गिरिगोवर्द्धन आई ॥१॥Kanhai calls all the Gopas together: “Come and help support Giriraj Govardhan.” ॥१॥आज सबे मिलहोहु सहाई ॥हँसत देख बलराम कन्हाई ॥२॥“Today, all of you join together and help Me.” Balaram and Kanhai laugh as They watch them. ॥२॥लकुट लियें कर टेकन जाई ॥कहत परस्पर लेहु उठाई ॥३॥Taking their herding sticks in their hands, they go to support the mountain, saying to one another, “Come, let us help hold it up!” ॥३॥वरखत इंद्र महा झर लाई ॥अति जल देख सखा डरपाई ॥४॥Indra pours down a tremendous torrent of rain. Seeing so much water, the sakhas become afraid. ॥४॥नंदनंदन विन को गिरि धारे ॥एसे बलबिन कोन संभारे ॥५॥“Other than Nandanandan, who could hold up this mountain? Without such strength, who could possibly support it?” ॥५॥नखतें गिरे कोन पुन राखे ॥वारवार यह कहिकहि भाखे ॥६॥“If it should slip from His nail, who could hold it up again?” Again and again they say these words to one another. ॥६॥सूरश्याम गिरिवर कर लीनो ॥वरखत मेघ चक्रित मन कीनो ॥७॥Sur says: Shyam has taken Girivar upon His hand, leaving the rain-bearing clouds utterly astonished. ॥७॥
