Meaning
नंदहि कहति यशोदारानी ॥ सुरपति पूजा तुमही भुलानी ॥१॥
Queen Yashoda says to Nanda, “You yourself have forgotten the worship of Surapati.” ॥१॥
यह नही भली तुम्हारी बानी ॥ मैं गृह काज रहों लपटानी ॥२॥
“What you say is not fair. I remain occupied with the household duties.” ॥२॥
लोभही लोभ रहत हो सानी ॥ देवकाजकी सुध बिसरानी ॥३॥
“You remain absorbed in worldly concerns and have forgotten all about the worship of the deity.” ॥३॥
मेहेरि कहेत पुनपुन यह बानी ॥ पूजाके दिन पोंहोंचे आनी ॥४॥
The lady of the house says these words again and again: “The day of worship has now arrived.” ॥४॥
सूरदास यशोमतिकी बानी ॥ नंदहि खीजखीज पछितानी ॥५॥
Surdas says: hearing Yashomati’s words, Nanda feels repeatedly reproached and regrets his forgetfulness. ॥५॥

yah nahee bhalee tumhaaree baanee · main grih kaaj rahon lapataanee ॥2॥
lobhahee lobh rahat ho saanee · devakaajakee sudh bisaraanee ॥3॥
meheri kahet punapun yah baanee · poojaake din ponhonche aanee ॥4॥
