भोर भये मेरे लाल होरी खेलो गोप बाल उठो गुपाल लाल दुहो धोरी गैया ॥It is dawn, my Lāl; play Holī. Get up, Gopāl Lāl, and milk the white cows.उस्नोदक अभ्यंग स्नान करि हो कलेउ कान्ह सजो बिबिधि बान कहति मैया ॥१॥Take an oil bath with warm water, then have Your morning meal, O Kānha, and dress Yourself in various ways, says Mother. ॥१ ॥केसर के कलस भरौ पिचकारी कर धरो अबीर गलाल लेहू रे संग बल भैया ॥Fill the pichkārī with saffron water, hold it in Your hand, and take abīr and gulāl with You, together with Your brother Balabhadra.इंडुरी पिंडुरी वारु आरति मंगल वारु राई लोंन उतारुं वार डारुं 'सूर' बल जैया ॥२॥I perform the Indurī-Pindurī ritual, I perform the auspicious ārati; I ward off the evil eye with mustard and salt, and I ward away every evil from You. Sūr says: I am devoted to You. ॥२ ॥
