MEANING
हौं भोरी मेरी कान्ह सयानौ । याहीते लाल खीजत ही तुमसों दूधकों गई तोलों माट दुरानौ ॥१॥I am simple, but my Kanh is clever. This is why, dear child, I am annoyed with you: while I went to fetch the milk, you hid the curd-pot. ॥१॥कौन उपाय करौं सुनि सजनी मंदिर में सब दधि बिखरानौ । बोलि लिये सब सखा संगके पीवौरे बाल नंदलाल कमानों ॥२॥What can I do, dear sakhi? He has scattered all the curd throughout the house. He has called all His companions and says, “Drink, boys!”—such is child Nandalal’s command. ॥२॥दौरि उठाय लिये आँकों भरि निरखि नैन मोहन मुसिकानौ । कृष्ण जीवन लछीराम के प्रभु माई ब्रजजुवतिन के हियौ सिरानों ॥३॥Running to Him, she lifts Him up and gazes at Him to her eyes’ content; Mohan smiles. O mother, the Lord of Krishna Jivan Lachhiram brings soothing joy to the hearts of the young women of Vraj. ॥३॥
