MEANING
हरि लीला गावत गोपीजन आनंदमें निशि दिन जाई । बालचरित विचित्र मनोहर कमल नैन ब्रज जन सुखदाई ॥१॥The gopis sing of Hari’s lilas, and their days and nights pass in joy. His wondrous and charming childhood deeds, O lotus-eyed One, bring happiness to the people of Vraj. ॥१॥दोहन मथन खंडन गृह लेपन मंडन सुत पति सेवा । चारि याम अवकाश नहीं पल सुमिरत कृष्ण देवदेवा ॥२॥Milking, churning, grinding, plastering the house, adorning it, and serving their children and husbands—they have no leisure through the four watches of the day, yet every moment they remember Krishna, the Lord of lords. ॥२॥भवनभवन प्रति दीप बिराजत कर कंकन नूपुर बाजें । परमानंद घोष कौतूहल निरखि भाँति सुरपति जिय लाजें ॥३॥In every home lamps shine, while bracelets on their hands and anklets resound. Parmanand says, beholding the many wonders of the cowherd settlement, even the lord of the gods feels humbled in his heart. ॥३॥
