MEANING
झगरिनि ठान्यों झगरौ हरिकौ नाल छुवन नहीं देही ।जाही नालतें ब्रह्मा उपज्यौ सोई नालहै ऐही ॥१॥The birth-attendant has decided to quarrel: she will not let Hari's umbilical cord be touched. “The cord from which Brahma was born, this is that very cord” ॥१॥शिव नारद जाकौ यश गावें जसोदा जायौ सोई ।मनि मानिक खपरोटी लैहों तोलों छुवै न कोई ॥२॥“The one whose glory Shiva and Narad sing, Jasoda has given birth to Him. I will take jewels, rubies, and a golden bowl; until then no one may touch it” ॥२॥छेद्यौ नाल अंकमें लीने जनम सुघुंदी पिवाई ।रोहिनी क्षमा क्षमा करि राखत सूरदास बलि जाई ॥३॥She cut the cord, took Him in her lap, and gave Him the fragrant birth drink. Rohini kept saying, “Forgive, forgive,” and Surdas offers himself in devotion ॥३॥
