झूलत कमल नैंन मृग नैंनी ॥The lotus-eyed One and the doe-eyed one are swinging. ॥कुल ही पाग लाल उर राजत प्यारी के विविध कुसुम गुही वेंनी ॥१॥A kulah and turban adorn Lal, while the beloved’s braid is woven with many kinds of flowers. ॥१॥पित पिछोरा स्याम तन राजत नील बरन कनक तन एंनी ॥A yellow pichhora shines upon Shyam’s dark form; beside Him is her golden-hued form. ॥सुंदर स्याम सकल सुखदायक नागरी नवल स्याम सुख देनी ॥२॥Beautiful Shyam is the giver of every joy, and the graceful young Nagari gives joy to Shyam. ॥२॥सजल स्याम घन घोर उमग पीय बरषत रूप अधिक जेसेनी ॥The deep, rain-filled dark clouds gather, while the beloveds appear ever more beautiful as the rain falls. ॥'रसिक' प्रीतम रस भाव झूलावत ललितादिक हँस गति गेनी ॥३॥‘Rasik’ says, Lalita and the other sakhis, smiling and moving gracefully, swing the beloved pair with loving rasa and bhava. ॥३॥
