MEANING
सुरंग कुल्हे रंग अरुन पीछोरा पेहेरें सुरंग हींडोरें झुलें श्रीगोवर्धनधर ॥Shri Govardhandhar, wearing a beautiful cap and a red pichhora, swings upon the lovely hindora. ॥श्यामाकें कुसुम्बी सारी अंगीया अमोल कटि लहेंगा हर्यो मन मोहे रीझ रीझावे दोउ निरख परस्पर ॥१ ॥Shyama wears a kusumbi-coloured sari, a priceless angiya, and a lehenga at her waist; the two delight and enchant the heart as they look at one another. ॥१ ॥सखी सब चहुंदिश झोटादेत हँसहँस तेसेई घन न्हेनी न्हेनी बुन्दन लायोझर ॥All the sakhis on every side, laughing joyfully, give pushes to the swing; meanwhile the clouds bring a gentle shower of tiny drops. ॥जाईके सोहाग भाग जम्योहे मलार राग भरे अनुराग रीझे कुंवर सुघर वर ॥२ ॥The good fortune of this blessed occasion has blossomed; Raga Malhar is filled with loving joy, and the graceful young Lord is delighted. ॥२ ॥कछु करमचकि बाढी पिया अंग गहें ठाडी जीयमें डरानी जान पीय लये अंक भर ॥When the motion of the swing suddenly increases, she stands holding her beloved for support; knowing that she is frightened at heart, her beloved holds her securely. ॥कुम्भनदास प्रभु मंद हास सुख सिंधु बाढ्यो अति सब सुखरासि अती परम कृपाल वर ॥३ ॥Kumbhandas says, as Prabhu smiles gently, an ocean of joy greatly swells; He is the very treasure of all happiness, the supremely gracious Lord. ॥३ ॥
