MEANING
प्रथम विलास कियौ | Pratham Vilas Kiyauप्रथम बिलास कियौ श्यामाजू कीनौ बिपिन बिहारजू ॥उनके बिधकी शोभा बरनों कहत न आवै पारजू ॥१॥At the first Vilas, Shyamaju performed Vihara in the forest. The beauty of that divine occasion cannot be fully described; words cannot reach its limit. ॥१॥बाके यूथकी गणना नाहीं निर्गुण भक्त कहावें ॥ताकी संख्या कहत न आवै शेषहू पार न पावें ॥२॥The companions in Her group are beyond counting; they are called nirguna bhaktas. Their number cannot be told; even Shesha cannot reach its limit. ॥२॥घोषघोष प्रति गलिनगलिन प्रति रंगरंग अंबर साजें ॥कियौ शृंगार नखसिख अंग युवती ज्यों करनी गण राजें ॥३॥In every cowherd settlement and every lane, garments of many colours are beautifully arranged. The young women adorn themselves from head to toe, shining like hosts of celestial maidens. ॥३॥बहु पूजा लै चली वृंदावन पान फूल पकवानै ॥ताके यूथ मुख्य चंद्रावलि चंद्रकलासी बानै ॥४॥Carrying abundant offerings for worship—betel, flowers, and delicacies—they set out for Vrindavan. The chief of that group is Chandravali, whose beauty is like the crescent moon. ॥४॥पोहौंची जाय निकुंज भवन में दरसी वृंदादेवी ॥ताके पद बदन करि माँग्यौ श्यामसुंदर बर एवी ॥५॥Arriving at the Nikunj Bhavan, they beheld Vrinda Devi. Bowing at Her feet, they asked for this boon: “Grant us Shyamsundar.” ॥५॥तिहिंछिन प्रभुजी आप पधारे कोटिक मन्मथ मोहै ॥अंगअंग प्रति रूपरूप प्रति उपमा रवि शशि कोहै ॥६॥At that very moment, Prabhuji Himself arrived, enchanting millions of Kamadevas. Every limb, every aspect of His beauty surpasses comparison; even the sun and moon cannot equal it. ॥६॥द्वैजुग जाम श्याम श्यामा संग केलि बिबिध रंग कीने ॥उठत तरंग रंगरस उछलित दास रसिक रस पीने ॥७॥Shyam and Shyama enjoyed many kinds of playful Vilas together. Waves of colourful rasa arose and overflowed; the rasik servant drank deeply of that rasa. ॥७॥
