MEANING
सखीरी काहेकौं गहरु लगावति ॥सबकोऊ ऐसौ सुख सुनिकै क्यो नाहिन उठि आवति ॥१॥O sakhi, why are you applying delay?Hearing of such happiness, why does everyone not rise and come? ॥1॥आज सो बात विधाता कीनी जो जाके मन भावति ॥सुतको जन्म यशोदाके गृह तहाँ लगि तोहि बुलावत ॥२॥Today the Creator has done that thing which pleases each one's heart.A son has been born in Yashoda's house; for that, you are being called there. ॥2॥दधि रोचन भरि वेगि चलो मिलि कनक थार कर लावति ॥साँचेहु सुत भयौ नंदकै तोहि नहीं बौरावति ॥३॥Fill curd and rochan, go quickly together, carrying golden trays in your hands.Truly, a son has been born to Nanda; I am not misleading you. ॥3॥अंचल उड़त शिथिल अलकावलि सुमन सुधा बरषावत ॥सूरदास शोभित ते अवसर जहाँ तहाँतै उठि धावत ॥४॥Their veils fly, their rows of curls loosen, and flowers pour down like nectar.Surdas says: splendid is that joyous occasion, as everyone rises from wherever they are and comes running. ॥4॥
