MEANING
बाल विनोद आँगनमेंकी डोलनि । मनिमय भूमि सुभग नंदालय बलि बलि गई तोतरी बोलनि ॥१॥The child playfully wanders in the courtyard. The beautiful, jewel-studded floor of Nanda’s home—again and again I am devoted to His sweet, lisping speech. ॥१॥कठुला कंठ रुचिर केहरि नख ब्रजमाल बहु मोलनि । बदन सरोज तिलक गौरोचन लट लटकन मधुप गन टोलनि ॥२॥Around His lovely neck are a kathula, a tiger-claw ornament, and a precious Vraj garland. On His lotus-like face is a gorochan tilak, while His hanging curls are like a swarm of bees. ॥२॥लोंनी कर पसरत आननपर कछुक खात कछु लग्यौ कपोलनि। कहिधों सूर कहाँ लगि बरनों धन्य नंदजीवन जग तोलनि ॥३॥With butter spread upon His hands and face, He eats a little, while some clings to His cheeks. Surdas says, how far can I describe Him? Blessed is the life of Nanda, beyond compare in all the world. ॥३॥
