MEANING
झूलत नव रंग संग राधिका गिरिधरनचन्द सहचरी दुहुं ओर ठाडी आनंद भर गावें ॥ सप्तस्वरन रागरंग झपताल मिली मृदंग उघटत वर सुघर तान भामिनी जीयभावें ॥१॥Rādhikā swings with Giridhardhan Chand, while the sakhīs stand on both sides, singing with great joy. The seven notes, the colors of the rāga, the Jhaptāl rhythm, and the mṛdaṅga come together, and beautiful, graceful melodies emerge, delighting the hearts of the women. ॥१॥वृन्दावन यमुनातीर कूजत पिक मोर कीर मंदमंद गरजत घन मेघ फुंही आवें ॥ ब्रह्मादिक शिव सुजानमोहे सब सुर विमान पोहोचवृष्टि करतसबे ॥ गोविंदजीय भावें ॥२॥In Vṛndāvan, on the bank of the Yamunā, cuckoos, peacocks, and parrots call out; the clouds gently thunder and the rain comes. Brahmā, Śiva, and all the gods are enchanted; from their celestial vehicles, they all shower flowers. All this delights Govind’s heart. ॥२॥
