तुम जावौ जावौ बीरी कौन पै मैया। कब के करि अँचवन मांगत हैं हलधर कुँवर कन्हैया ॥

“Go, do go, Mother—who has the betel rolls? Having rinsed their mouths after the meal, Haladhar and young Kanhaiya have been asking for them for so long.”

इतनी बोल सुनत उठि धायौ श्रीदामा भरि झोरी ॥

Hearing these words, Shridama rose and ran with his pouch filled.

ग्वालन के मंडल मधि नायक हरि-हलधर की जोरी ॥

Amid the circle of cowherd boys, the pair, Hari and Haladhar, are the leaders.

दीनौ बाँटि सबनि अपने कर हँसि हँसि पान चबावै ॥

With his own hands, he distributed the betel rolls to everyone; laughing merrily, they chew the betel.

अब सब चले दानघाटी 'परमानंद' दान चुकावै ॥

Now all set off for Daan Ghati; “Paramanand” says, they go to pay the toll.
