MEANING
आनंद प्रेम उमगि जसोदा हरखि गोपाल खिलावै । शिव सनकादिशुकादि ब्रह्मादिक खोजत अंत न पावै ॥१॥Overflowing with joyful love, Yashoda happily plays with Gopal. Shiva, Sanaka and the others, Shuka and others, and Brahma and the other great beings search for Him, yet cannot find His end. ॥१॥ताहि गोदलै जननी दुलरावति तोतरे बोल बुलावै । कबहूँ कर पल्लव टेकि उठावै फूली अँग न समावै ॥२॥That very One, His mother takes in her lap and fondles Him, calling to Him in baby-like words. Sometimes she makes Him stand, supporting Him with the tender palm of her hand; her joy is so great that it cannot be contained within her body. ॥२॥मोहे सुरनर किन्नर मुनिवर रवि रथ हूँ न चलावै । मोहिं सब ब्रजनारी मनहीमन सूरदास यश गावै ॥३॥He enchants the gods, men, Kinnars, and great sages; He even makes the chariot of the sun stand still. Within their hearts, all the women of Vraj sing His glory, says Surdas. ॥३॥
